At the announcement, AOC still reported on its website that the Agon AG251FG could display a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, the maximum resolution appears to be 1920×1080 pixels. The monitor is equipped with a tn panel with a refresh rate of 240Hz. According to AOC, the panel has a brightness of 400cd / m² and a contrast ratio of 1000: 1.
The screen is height adjustable and a headphone holder is mounted on the side. At the top of the foot is a handle. The monitor has an HDMI and Display Port connector, four USB 3.0 ports and audio jacks.
AOC provides the monitor with filters such as the Low Blue Light mode, which should provide less tired eyes. There is also a Shadow Control option that allows darker parts of games to be lighter. In March, the manufacturer already released the comparable AG251FZ monitor. That model is one hundred euros cheaper and does not support G-Sync, but can handle FreeSync.
