Coolermaster Masterkeys S with PBT keycaps now available

Cooler Master has made its MasterKeys S PBT and MasterKeys L PBT available. Spcial on these keyboards are the Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) Keycaps. The advantage of this type of plastic versus ABS is that it is more durable. This should ensure that colors do not fade and the keys do not shine after extensive use. Because PBT is stiffer and easier to break, Cooler Master has made the keycaps a bit thicker: regular ABS keycaps have a thickness of 0.8 mm while the PBT caps are 1.5 mm thick.

Cooler Master supplies both models with five different switches: the Cherry MX Red, Blue, Brown, Silver and Green. Like all S models of Cooler Master, the MasterKeys S PBT does not have a numpad, which is available at the L-model. The OS layout of the board can easily be changed via a key combination The braided cable, 1.5m long, is replaceable and has a Micro USB connector on the side of the keyboard. Both plates come with 7 red caps for the Q, W, E, R, A, S and D keys.

The MasterKeys S PBT has a price of 80 dollar, while the MasterKeys L PBT has to go over the counter for 90 dollar.
