MSI has announced a 24 “variant of its curved game monitor. Earlier, the brand already released a 27” version. The Optix G24C is the second screen of MSI, and probably in this model is a Samsung panel. The specifications on the MSI website do not indicate the type of panel in the G24C. Presumably, it is a panel of Samsung, as announced last year, G27C.
Curved game monitor
The screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and could display the full srgb color space. The monitor has a curvature of 1800R. In addition, MSI claims a typical response time of 1ms, a maximum brightness of 250cd / m² and a contrast ratio of 3000: 1. The refresh rate is 144Hz and there is support for FreeSync. The monitor can be connected by means of HDMI 1.4, Display Port 1.2 or DVI-D.
MSI announced its first monitor in December last year, as part of a bundle with a PC. This Optix G27C has now also been released, although the screen does not appear to be available at European webshops. Some German webshops have the 27 “variant for around four hundred euros in their price list.
What the 24-inch version costs is not yet known.
