Plantronics launches gaming headsets with Dolby Atmos support

Last year Plantronics was the fastest growing brand gaming headset. Plantronics now comes with a new line-up headphones that support Dolby Atmos. To this end, the company has an exclusive license. Dolby Atmos is, as it were, the successor to surround and, in addition to audio channels front and rear, also provides information about the location of the sound in height. There are three models in Plantronics’s new lineup.

The RIG 400LX and RIG 600LX are wired headsets with a loose amplifier, which offers three equalizer modes. Additionally, that device has an additional auxiliary input. The new top model is the RIG 800LX, a cordless headphone with an inner band for better comfort and a battery lasting up to 24 hours on one load. With the ear buds, you quickly switch between four EQ settings and adjust the volume balance between the game sound and the voice chat. All headsets come with a Dolby Atmos license key, which you can enter on a Windows 10 PC or an Xbox One. Normally you pay $ 15 for the Dolby software that casting Atmos sound in a stereo signal, but included in the new Plantronics headphones.

The Plantronics RIG 400LX, 600LX and 800LX cost 100, 150 and 180 dollar for Xbox variants. The PC editions will be cheaper because they do not have to pay additional license fees. All models will be in stores this autumn.
