Razer has added a new mouse for gamers to its collection. With the Razer Basilisk, the company focuses on use in combination with shooters. The mouse includes a removable handle and a sensor with 16,000 dpi accuracy.
Razer uses the same 5G sensor for the Razer Basilisk as it also uses for the Razer DeathAdder Elite and Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition. The handle is interchangeable and programmable. By default, it can be used to lower the dpi, but there are also settings for, for example, picking up items. Razer supplies handles with two different lengths and there is a rubber thumb bucket for use without handles.
The scroll wheel resistance is adjustable with a rotary knob at the bottom. In addition, the mouse contains mechanical switches that will ensure long life. The Basilisk has dimensions of 124x75x43mm and a weight of 107 grams, with the cable not counted. Finally, there is rgb lighting with support for Razers Chroma, which adjusts the colors of the leds.
The Razer Basilisk will appear in Razer’s own shop for 70 euros in September. In the fourth quarter, the mouse will be widely available.
